12.NORAKURO-KAN/Cartoonist Suiho Tagawa museum

The creator Suiho Tagawa, was the member of avant-garde artists. Some parts of Tagawa’s world are displayed here. His cartoon’s character dog Norakuro is one of the most famous characters of cartoon in Japan. It is an early part of Japanese Manga’s history. At first Norakuro is a soldier, but opinion has been divided about whether this cartoon is antiwar or not.
This museum is on the first floor of the building, which Japanese culture is introduced. You can see the autographs of famous Manga creators, and read Manga here. Many Japanese culture events are held, so take a look at the schedule to join! Almost all events are reasonably priced or free of charge.
